IronFX, a brokerage firm headquartered in Cyprus, offers retail traders access to the foreign exchange market. Established in December 2010, IronFX was founded in Limassol, Cyprus, following approval from the CySEC.

In 2013, IronFX expanded its operations by opening an office in Australia and obtaining regulation from the ASIC. Additionally, the company received authorization from the FCA in the UK. In early 2014, IronFX further expanded by opening an office in London and obtained an upgraded license under the FCA’s authorization, allowing for expanded services to traders.

In the same year, IronFX also established an office in South Africa and obtained authorization and regulation from the Financial Services Board (South Africa).

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, IronFX confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) in 2015 on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), with an anticipated valuation of $800 million.

On August 30, 2021, IronFX relinquished its license in Australia, ceasing its operations in the country under the supervision of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

IronFX is regulated by multiple financial authorities such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) in Cyprus, and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa.

IronFX serves retail and institutional customers from over 180 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Broker does not offer its services to residents of certain jurisdictions such as the USA, Cuba, Sudan, Syria and North Korea. IronFX has officially announced its withdrawal from 4 regulations such as Russia, Germany, Italy and New Zealand.

In order to open an account with IronFX, potential clients must complete an online registration form: E-mail, First name, Last name, Country of residence, Mobile.

Verification 

To verify their account, customers need to provide identification documents and proof of residence:

Proof of Identity (POI)

Customers need to provide a color copy of a valid passport or other government-issued government-issued identification document (e.g. driver’s license, ID card, etc.). The identity document must indicate the following:

• Full name
• Date of issue or expiration
• Your place and date of birth or tax identification number
• Signature.

Proof of Residence (POR)

• A recent utility bill, for example. electricity, gas, water, telephone, oil, internet connection and/or cable TV, bank statement.
• The document must be dated within the last 6 months and confirm the registered address.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Deposit options include Debit/Credit Cards, Neteller, Skrill, Globe Pay, FasaPay, China Union Pay, and cryptocurrencies.The minimum deposit required to open an IronFX Account is $100 USD. Deposit can take up to 24 hours to be processed depending on the method you choose. Bank Wire transfers can take up to 3 working days, depending on the bank.
